OVAHNESS! Oprah's HAIR-RAISING "O" Cover!
Oprah Winfrey instagrammed the latest "O" cover and it's definitely one of our favorites. She tweeted, "Just revealed this new cover of @O_Magazine - 1 of my faves ever - Let's talk about HAIR!Following".The cover that states, "Let's Talk About Hair!" shows the entertainment mogul sporting a huge afro wig that reportedly weighed 3.5 pounds, according to Us Weekly.
"I wish I could say it was all mine. In fact, though, it's borrowed. And it feels like carrying around an extra head," Winfrey said. "My own hair is shorter, not quite so spherical, and a lot lighter. But that doesn't mean it never gives me grief. When it comes to hair, I'm in the same boat as most every other woman."
The 59-year-old television host said there's one thing that all women can relate to when it comes to hair.
"We love it when it looks great, we can't stand it when it looks not so great, and we all want it to tell the world something about us."
The nearly 4-pound hairpiece she adorns on the magazine's cover could very well be telling us that she has a strong head on her shoulders.
Winfrey's longtime hair stylist, Andre Walker said "it wasn't easy" to find the eyebrow raising wig but he eventually got the help of "The Voice" stylist Kim Kimble.
"When I told her about my predicament, she said she had created a wig I could borrow," he recalled about the hairpiece that was delivered in bubble wrap and a custom-made, bright pink travel box to New York City June 1 for the photo shoot.
"For almost 30 years, I've had the luxury of a hairdresser, Andre Walker, who loves all kinds of hair textures and adores everything," "The Butler's" star wrote in her monthly "What I Know for Sure" column. "Hence this month's cover; we call the wig I'm wearing Wild Thang!"
In fact, Winfrey's longtime friend Gayle King thought it was more suited for a cartoon movie turned Broadway play.
"Can someone put on the soundtrack to 'The Lion King?'" she joked.
But the OWN Network's boss lady is taking it all in stride and remembered the many looks she's done with her hair over the years.
"During the 'Oprah' show years, we used wigs intermittently to give my hair a break from the daily grind of styling," she recalled. "Had Andre not had the foresight to do this, I probably wouldn't have a single strand left today -- an unthinkable state of affairs for a girl with my (no pun intended) roots."

Russell Brand Says He Would Think of Other People While Having Sex With Katy Perry
Some men are idiots and Russell Brand seems to be the biggest idiot out. During a recent stand up comedy show Russell brand was performing in London at the Soho Theatre, Brand joked about his sex life with ex-wife Katy Perry.
According to US Weekly:
Brand joked to the audience that he considered becoming a monk after he split from Perry, because celibacy wouldn’t be much different to married life.
“When I got divorced, I considered becoming a monk. When you’re a monk, you’re not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you’re married, it’s one person. That’s one more than a monk,” he allegedly joked. “It’s not that different. I’d be having sex thinking, ‘Think of anyone, anyone else.’”
That is a low -blow, and a hurtful thing to say! Brand must need to sell more tickets to his upcoming world tour, why else talk bad about someone who knows your dirty little secrets? I wonder if he thought of boys and men too???
Rihanna Shows Some Skin For Barbados Crop Over Festival
Rihanna‘s been back in Barbados enjoying the Crop Over festival, for the last few days. After partying in the streets over the weekend, the “Diamonds” star stepped out to the Koodament Day Parade on Monday. RiRi showed some skin in a jeweled two-piece ensemble, with matching headband and bangles. Her girl, Melissa Forde, was also out and about taking in the festivities, as well her friend and assistant, Jennifer Rosales.

Last week in Costa Rica, Terrence Howard and his ex-wife, Michelle Ghent, got into a nasty fight and we’re not surprised that both of them have different stories on what happened. Terrence Howard is claiming Michelle keeps threatening to kill him…
SAY WHAT! Ex-wife Michelle claims Howard physically abused her during the argument BUT he is saying how she has been threatening his life since last May…and has texts messages to prove it.
Michelle you’re guilty for being a crazy b****! In today’s hearing, Terrence will give the judge text messages from last May, in which an angry Michelle writes, “I would start hiding if I were u.” In another text she writes, “Be careful when u leave your place. U should move.” And in yet another she writes, “I know where u and ur family live. Watch yourself.”
Michelle also texted back in May, “You need to be put down once and for all. I will not stop until all knows who u are.”
In the police report Terrence says Michelle tried to commit suicide 2 months ago and was hospitalized and diagnosed with paranoia. And she seems to confirm that in one of the texts, in which she says, “I’m just insane. I went to a crazy institute.” This he said/she said ISH will get old real quick. We all know Terrence Howard is known to be a diva, always asking for pay raises with each acting role he gets, so it seems that Michelle and him are a match made in heaven… RIGHT!?!?
Both of them will appear in court Wednesday morning and the judge better be prepared for a brawl. To be able to witness these two duking it out sounds like pure entertainment.
If Howard has those text messages then Michelle you’re in trouble!
BAPTIST PASTOR ALLEGEDLY FIRED FOR ATTENDING RICK ROSS CONCERT
The struggle in the church regarding whether or not Christians should listen to secular music has been a long-lived debate. While some feel that it’s okay to listen to genres other than gospel as long as good judgement and moderation are implemented, others believe that genres such as hip-hop should be avoided altogether. It appears that the Mt. Salem Baptist Church of North Carolina may be on of the ministries that are against it. According to Praise DC, the ministry’s youngest pastor to ever be installed, 26-year-old Rev. Rodney Wills, was fired after he attended a Rick Ross concert.
Ironically, the young pastor was let go shortly before the church was scheduled to celebrate his 4th pastoral anniversary. According to reports, the 14 deacons of the church met Saturday just before midnight to decide on their next course of action after they learned of Wills’ actions. After some deliberation, 26-year-old Wills was reportedly voted out 11 to 3. The way the story is being told, when Wills arrived at the church for Sunday morning service the next day, he was surprised to see that his parking sign had been removed and his name had been taken down off of the office door. He later learned that he’d been let go.
“We cannot have our leader supporting people of this world who are tearing down the kingdom of God,” said Deacon Miles Langley of the incident.
We also hear that this isn’t the first time Wills was spotted at a hip-hop concert. According to reports, he appeared before the church’s board after a few young people saw him at a Lil Wayne concert 9 months prior.
“We know that many saints will have mixed opinions from our actions, but this is not how we do things here at Mt. Salem. We cannot have a pastor praising the world one minute then praising the Lord the next. Period,” Langley continued.
We can’t say for sure is this is the only reason the 26-year-old pastor was let go, but we can say that the ministry’s decision has been widely criticized among social media users.

Since its debut last month, the Kardashian momager’s show has been averaging about 202,000 viewers nationwide, according to Nielsen — a paltry audience considering the hype, hoopla and hysteria typically surrounding anything Kardashian-related.
Putting things in perspective, “Ellen,” one of the most popular daytime shows around, averages more than 2 million viewers every day.
ATL Reality Stars Attend ‘Help Me’ Video Premiere, Honoring Trayvon Martin
The momentum surrounding the controversial outcome of the Trayvon Martin case doesn’t seem to be losing steam in the celeb realm. This week, Atlanta artists and reality stars showed up in full force.
ATL producer Jazze Pha’s “Thee Unknowns” (members include Jevon “V12′ Sims and Gasner “GazMoney” Allen) penned a song featuring Akon called, “HELP ME”. The song and video tackles the issues of the world today including HIV/AIDS, Homelessness, Poverty, and the tragic death of Trayvon. On Monday, Shanita Foster (formerly of ‘Football Wives’) hosted an event (along with her charity) to debut the video. Held at Infusion Breakfast Bistro/Bar & Grille reality stars like Kandi Burruss (and fiance Todd), Quad (‘Married to Medicine), Peter Thomas (Real Housewives of Atlanta), Mimi Faust (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta), Big Tigger (radio personality), along with Frank Ski (restaurant owner) were in attendance. Phoenix Suns' Michael Beasley Arrested For Marijuana Possession
Remember when Michael Beasley was getting mad buckets at Kansas State? Yeah, that was a while ago. August 6th in the early morning, the 24-year-old Phoenix Suns forward was popped for marijuana possession.
Says a Scottsdale PD press release:
On 08/06/13 at 1:15 am SPD made a stop for a traffic violation in the area of Scottsdale and McCormick Roads. As the officer approached the vehicle he could smell marijuana emanating from within the car. A search of the driver's area recovered marijuana that was impounded. The driver, identified as Michael Beasley, was booked pending charges for possession of marijuana and released.
Beasley just finished the first year of a three year, $18 million dollar contract with the Phoenix Suns.
Yo Mike, where was your weed carrier fam? The struggle is very real.

To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen fired from NBC after being caught in a cheating scandal.
After an explosive ENQUIRER world exclusive CHRIS HANSEN the “CATCH A PREDATOR” host we caught cheating has been given the heave-ho after 20 years from NBC.
The announcement comes mere weeks after The ENQUIRER published a damaging, brutally honest no-holds-barred letter from his ex-mistress Kryityn Caddell and published pictures of Hansen and his ex-mistress exclusively in our print edition.
The TV journo Kristyn told The ENQUIRER she suspected Hansen had blackballed her from the industry.

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Reality Star Karlie Redd Is Now An Actress….. At least Chris Rock Think So!
Karlie Redd has recently tweeted that she will be going from reality star to real life star!!! Many are unaware that Karlie has a passion for acting, film and directing.
The movie is currently being filmed in New York. The film will feature some of Hollywood’s top actresses and Comedians. Karlie Redd amongst other famous celebrities, including Rosario Dawson, Gabrielle Union, Sherri Shepherd, Cedric the Entertainer and Kevin Hart are some of the current cast members.
The Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta star, who has recently released her latest single “Got The Draws” with Beenie Man, is currently working on set with Chris Rock. Karlie says her fans can keep their eyes open for her in the new film coming Spring of 2014.

Woman Who Filed False Paternity Suit Against Michael Jordan Ordered To Pay Him $10,000
If you’ll recall, we told you a while back about Pamela Smith. She filed a paternity suit against basketball legend Michael Jordan and said that since he was the father of her 17-year-old child, he owed her some major child support. At the time, she claims she wasn’t doing it to cash in on his fortune, but for her son, who wanted her to file the suit so Jordan would finally acknowledge him. Here was the story we shared in March:
Smith claims that she got pregnant by Jordan back in 1995 when he was still, obviously, married to Juanita Jordan. She says that she’s actually always had a good relationship with him and in ways, he’s provided for she and Taj. Smith said she has no reason to call Jordan out at all – primarily because she never needed his money to survive – but Taj begged her to file the paternity suit and for child support.
Smith claims that over the years, they’ve received money and gifts from Jordan but Taj always had to keep it a secret that his father was the famous basketball player. But now, he wants to be acknowledged as part of the family too. She claims that Taj wants Jordan to be a bigger part of his life.
Well, that isn’t happening. After asking for a DNA test, child support, and Jordan calling it all a big lie, we know that Smith wound up dropping her suit with the quickness in Georgia. And while she thought that would probably be the end of that, Jordan went after her in court, claiming Smith’s whole case was a huge publicity stunt. According to TMZ, a judge agreed, because after they pointed out that Smith hired a PR rep before she thought to even get a lawyer, the biggest reveal was this: Smith established the paternity of her son way back in 2003, and it was not Jordan. The judge found that she was just trying to tarnish Jordan’s name for the hell of it (and probably for some cash), and the judge has ordered her to pay up, covering the costs of Jordan’s unnecessary legal bills. The total of all that is almost 10 grand, coming in at $9,704.13. Hopefully other women will learn that it sure won’t fly when you lie, because she’s having to pay up when I’m sure she thought she was going to get paid. You live and you learn…
Bella Escritor Releases An Excerpt From Quarterback Keeper
Let me precede this by saying I don’t co-sign women who have been involved with famous men writing write tell-alls, but since they keep writing them, we know folks will keep reading them.
Author Bella Escritor, who’s currently penning a book about the 10-year relationship she claims to have had with NFL star, Michael Vick. A couple of weeks ago, she sent me a direct message on Twitter with a link to the latest excerpt from the book, which details the aftermath of the shooting at Michael’s ill-fated 30th birthday party in 2010.
According to reports, Quanis Phillips, one of the co-defendants in the infamous dog fighting case that put Michael behind bars for 17 months, was the victim in the shooting — and he was shot after a confrontation with Michael that started when he was asked to leave the party by the football great and his brother, Marcus Vick.
Now that I’ve filled you in on the background information, check out the excerpt from Bella’s book below.
“I wasn’t at the birthday party and I didn’t know who did what. All I knew at that point was something about cake being thrown around, a disrespectful former dog-fighting co-defendant showing up and getting shot outside of the club. Mike didn’t fill me in on every single thing that happened either, he just told me what I think he needed me to hear. What he said was enough for me to now know who did it and what for. He kept talking in this sad tone about how much he loved his brother and would do anything for him, but in order for him to keep his job, he was going to have to take everyone’s advice, including his coach, and cut Marcus off.
That shocked me right there. I couldn’t believe after all Marcus had done in the past, Mike was finally willing to separate himself from his brother’s bullsh*t. I had gotten to know Marcus over the years and considered him my own little brother. In fact, that is what we addressed each other as ‘Baby bro and Big Sis’. I was always on his side, but I couldn’t do anything but agree with Mike in this case.”
Although police later claimed they knew who the shooter was in the incident, no charges were ever filed because the victim did not cooperate with investigators.
